The First Day

It’s the first day…

I’ve been planning for this day
for weeks now,
and, wow, here we are.
I’ve been thinking about how to start,
and, well, here I am.
I’ve been wondering what you will be like,
and, hey, there you are.

I wonder where this year will take us?
I imagine the great writing that we will create.
I foresee some interesting conversations.
I anticipate some really exciting times.
